General FAQs
Where does the name Popcorn + Crocodiles come from?
In short, it combines two of my favourite crochet stitches. I wanted a name that reflected my love of crochet, while hopefully being a bit playful and memorable. The downside is that the web address takes a bit of typing ….
Can I feature Popcorn + Crocodiles/ Adventures in Yarn stationery on my website/ Instagram/ blog/ podcast?
Thanks – that sounds great! If you’ve bought an item from me and want to share about it, that’s very kind – so many of my customers find me through word of mouth recommendations and I’m very grateful for that. If you have other ideas, I’d love to hear from you; please drop me an email.
Do you offer any bespoke yarn stationery?
Not usually – but I love a new challenge! If you have some exciting ideas and would like to explore whether it might be possible to work together, please get in touch.
I have a yarn shop/ yarn business and I’d love to sell your stationery
Thanks so much! At the moment nearly all of my sales are here through my website or my Etsy shop. I’m currently looking at options for wholesale so please drop me an email if this is something you’d like to explore.
Shipping FAQs
Everything you need to know about postage, packing and delivery
What packaging materials do you use?
Usually I pack using paper or card; occasionally I supplement this with reused and recycled packaging which I've received, e.g. bubblewrap. Organisers are sent in cardboard boxes and sealed with paper tape. Small notebooks are sent in paper envelopes or occasionally in recycled or donated bubblewrap padded envelopes. I do not buy any plastic packaging.
How do you deliver items in the UK?
All items are posted via Royal Mail first class post.
Estimated delivery 2-3 working days from posting although this can vary in line with usual peak periods, e.g. Christmas time.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, I do ship internationally. All orders are sent via Royal Mail International Standard service.
Please be aware of the following advice from Royal Mail in relation to taxes and duties:
*Each country has their own duties and taxes, so you are responsible for any incurred fees when you receive your order.*
For orders between 10€ and 150€, customers are likely to be charged Import Tax and a handling fee.
Orders over 150€ customers are likely to be charged Import Tax, handling fee AND a Customs Charge
International delivery costs are based on the standard charges by weight from Royal Mail, based on prices for different world zones. More information can be found on International Standard delivery here.
